BANGOR – Louise G. Blackburn, 85, died Sunday, June 12, 2005, at home. She was born in Bangor, in 1919, the daughter of George and Mary Agnes (Smith) Betterley. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; two brothers; and a sister. She is survived by two daughters, Carol-Jean Steeves and Janis Ames; and a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Regina Goodwin, all of Chesterfield, Va.; also surviving are 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Elizabeth Brooks of Bradenton, Fla. and Emma-Jean Christy of Topsham. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Centenary United Methodist Church, Winterpock, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association for Frederick’s Atoxia Research.
