CALAIS – Leila M. Bohanon, 91, died June 12, 2005, at a Calais hospital. She was born Nov. 7, 1913, at Alexander, the daughter of Manley and Bertha (Fitch) Bohanon. Leila enjoyed beano and dancing. She was predeceased by six sisters, four brothers and a grandson, Stacy Furlong. Surviving are a son, Carlton Bohanon and his wife, Eva, of Calais; three granddaughters, Evelyn Belanger and her husband, Russ, of Buxton, Brenda Spear and her husband, Dan, of Calais and Pam Mitchell and her husband, Jeff, of Levant; seven great-grandsons, several nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be conducted by Pastor Bob Hinton 2 p.m. Thursday, June 16, in the Calais Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Ronald McDonald House of Bangor, would be greatly appreciated. A cremation service of the Mays Funeral Home, Calais.
