MILBRIDGE and SAN ANTONIO – Retired Lt. Col. Elinor Bloch Koegl died Oct. 7, 2007, in San Antonio. She was born Feb. 21, 1920, in New York City, the daughter of George and Erminie Bloch. Ellie graduated from Milbridge High School and Eastern Maine General Hospital School of Nursing, and later joined the U.S. Air Force, from which she retired in 1973. She made her home in San Antonio during the winter months, but especially enjoyed her summers in Milbridge with her very close friends and extended family. Ellie was predeceased by her parents; and a sister, Doris. A memorial gathering will be announced at a later date.
