ADDISON – Lucien “Lou” Sabourin, 77, died peacefully Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at the Maine Veterans Home in Bangor. He was born March 5, 1927, in Goodyear, Conn., the son of Wilfred and Ella (Blair) Sabourin. Lou was a 3rd class petty officer in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II. He served in the Marshall Islands, Okinawa, and Guam. Lou is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carrie (Faulkingham) Sabourin of Addison; a son, Ricky Sabourin of Jonesport; a daughter, Dianne Lovejoy and her husband, Blair, of Hampden; two grandchildren, Kris Peabody and his wife, Rachel, of Portland, and Joshua Peabody of Hampden; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Zoe of Winterport; three brothers and two sisters, all of Killingly, Conn.; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Louis will also be missed by a special sister-in-law, Charlene Wagner of Addison. He was predeceased by four brothers. Friends are invited to visit with the family 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the Down East Christian Church, Marshville Road, Harrington, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 29. Private interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport. Gifts in memory of Lou may be sent to the Down East Christian Church, P.O. Box 189, Harrington, ME 04643.
