WAYLAND, Mass. – Lucille A. (Chaples) Buckley died Feb. 12, 2007. She was born April 25, 1925, in Hudson, the daughter of Cleveland G. Chaples and Bessie (Lancaster) Chaples of Bangor. Mr. and Mrs. Buckley were longtime residents of Bangor and Lewiston. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Elwood “Shorty” Buckley; and her son, Dixon L. Chaples. Mrs. Buckley is survived by her daughter, Mary (Buckley) Cross of Wayland, Mass.; granddaughter, Sarah S. Cross of Wayland, Mass.; grandson, Benjamin E. Cross of Culver City, Calif.; niece, Nancy J. Graham; and family of Bangor, and Chicago. There will be no visitation or memorial service, as Mrs. Buckley wished. Interment will be at Gracelawn Manor Memorial Park, Auburn.
