FORT KENT and HOULTON Lucille S. Babin, 82, died on May 23, 2004, at Houlton. She was born on Oct. 9, 1921, in St. Hilaire, New Brunswick, the daughter of Maxime and Annie (Bouchard) Albert. Lucille was a devoted wife and a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life was centered on her family, whom she enjoyed cooking and knitting for. Her humble and gentle spirit touched those who knew her. Lucille was the beloved mother of seven daughters, Eileen and her husband, Joel Voisine, of Houlton, Frances McCluskey of Presque Isle, Doris Inman of Orono, Bernice and her husband, Stephen Johnson, of Houlton, Louise and her husband, Michael Pelletier, of Fort Kent, Janice and her husband, Mark Williams, of South Windham, Patricia and her husband, Murray Shulman, of Bangor; 23 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edgar; one sister, Germaine Chasse; one great-granddaughter, Meagan Wellington. A memorial Mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2004, at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent, with celebrants Father Claude Gendreau and Eddy Morin. Interment will be held in the St. Louis Cemetery. A time of fellowship will be held in the K of C Hall.
