BEALS – Lucy Jane (Beal) Kelley, 87, went to be with her Lord Jan. 19, 2004, at a Jonesport healthcare facility. She was born June 13, 1916, at Addison, the daughter of Avery E. and Marjorie (Emerson) Beal. She was lifelong resident of Beals, and was a member of the Beals Reformed Baptist Church, where she served as organist for many years. Lucy attended Beals Schools and received her Religious Education Degree from the Machias Normal School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved the time she spent with her family. She is survived by her children, Marjorie and her husband, Ennis Wright, of Jonesport, Mary Jane and her husband, Lessie White, of West Bath, Darrell Kelley and his wife, Debbie; and her daughter-in-law, Diana Kelley, all of Beals; 10 grandchildren, D’Anna and Mitchell Beal and their children, BreAnna and Cole; Avery Kelley Jr. and his companion, Lynn, and son, Austin; Derrick Kelley and his wife, Trisha, and their children, Caleb, Osmond and Lexi; Lori Anne and her husband, Kevin Beal, and their children, Blake and Blane; Roger Beal III and his wife, Jannell, and their children, Cameron and J-Lynn; Suzy Lynn and her husband, Clinton Marshall, and their son, Colby; Lessie White Jr.; Melody White; Kenneth Kelley; Brenda and her husband, Brad Mitchell, and their children, Erika and her husband, Benjamin Burtt and Kyle Mitchell; her brother-in-law, Ernest Kelley Sr. and his wife, Marilyn; her sisters-in-law, Venetta Kelley, Muriel Kelley and Trena Kelley; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Osmond Kelley, in 1993; her son, Avery Kelley Sr., in 2003; sons-in-law, Roger Beal Jr., in 1973; and Franklyn Wyatt, in 1994; and a great-grandson, Roger Beal IV, in 2000. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Lucy’s home on Beals. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004, at the Wesleyan Church, Beals, with Pastor George Woodward officiating. Internment will be at the Indian River Cemetery, Addison.
