MILFORD, N.H. – Luene (Baston) Schopen, 76, of Bridge Street, formerly of Bridgewater, passed away April 4, 2007, at home. She was the daughter of Charles and Myrtle (Hartley) Baston of Bridgewater. She was a graduate of Bridgewater Classical Academy in 1948. She was the wife of the late William C. Schopen of Hollis, N.H., and the late John D. Honey, Chief Petty Officer U.S. Navy. Mrs. Schopen worked for many years for the Raytheon Co., Waltham and Wayland, Mass. She also worked for Jenney Oil Co., Waltham, Mass., as a bookkeeper. After moving to New Hampshire in 1977, she was a bookkeeper for the Town of Hudson, N.H. Before her retirement in 1990, she was a part time bookkeeper for Souhegan Valley Association for the Handicapped, Amherst, N.H. Mrs. Schopen was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Harley-Sanford Post No. 4368 and the American Legion Auxiliary, Riccardi-Hartshorn Post No. 23, both of Milford, N.H. She was predeceased by a brother, C. Edwin Baston. Survivors include her two sisters, Barbara Scozzella of Boston and Marlene Keegan of Fort Myers, Fla.; brother, David Baston and his wife, Judy, of Connecticut; special nephews, David and Dana York of New Hampshire and Albert “Skip” Keegan of Houlton; special nieces, Donna Scozzella of Boston and Luene Turpin of Fort Myers, Fla.; five stepchildren, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many other dear relatives and friends.
