HODGDON – Lydia A.Barton, 63, died Sept. 12, 2007, in Bangor. She was born Sept. 23, 1943, in Stafford Springs, Conn., the daughter of Maro and Mildred (Tillapaugh) Loveland. Lydia was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post No. 47, Houlton, and worked in the nursing field for 23 years. She is survived by four children, Joan Simpson of Lehigh Acres, Fla., Ray Barton, Donna Barton and Ben Barton, all of Hodgdon; 10 grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mildred Loveland of Connecticut. She was predeceased by her husband, David; grandson, Matthew Noddin; one brother and one sister, Clementine Loveland and Vincent Loveland. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, with funeral services being held 11 a.m. Saturday at Houlton Wesleyan Church with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating. Interment will be at East Hodgdon Cemetery.
