CALAIS – Lydia (Coleman) DiCenzo, 88, died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Calais Regional Hospital. Lydia was born Nov. 17, 1919, in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Hartwell and Lydia (Wilson) Coleman. She graduated from Calais Academy, Class of 1938. Lydia worked at JJ Newberrys for several years and then managed Carroll Cut Rate Store until 1945, at which time she married Thomas DiCenzo. Thomas predeceased her in 1973, along with his pilot returning from Rhode Island from a business trip. Lydia was a lifetime member of United Methodist Church, Calais. She leaves a special cousin, James Marraty of New Hampshire; many nieces, nephews and a wonderful family of in-laws who made her feel like one of their own. At Lydia’s request, a graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations in Lydia’s memory may be made to United Methodist Church, 849 Main St., Calais, ME 04619.
