KINGMAN – Lyle “Lanny” Leonard Lancaster, 58, husband of Barbara (Clay) Lancaster, died Nov. 26, 2005, at a Lincoln hospital, after a long illness. He was born Aug. 21, 1947, in Augusta. Lanny was self-employed in the woods business for many years, and worked as a heavy equipment operator in the woods. He served the town of Kingman as Fire Chief for many years. He enjoyed fishing. In addition to his wife, Barbara; he is survived by his mother, Mary (Lancaster) Gerard of Kingman; a son, Robert Lancaster of Prentiss; a granddaughter, Brooke Lynn Lancaster; and a grandson, Robert Paul Lancaster, both of Lincoln; two brothers, Robert and Anita Gerard of Vasselboro, and Ronald and Debbie Gerard of Augusta; a brother-in-law, Dorance Clay of Lincoln; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Romeo Thibodeau; and his stepfather, Roland Gerard. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at the Kingman Cemetery, with the Rev. Gerald Craig officiating. There will be a get together at the Macwahoc Town Office after the service.
