HOULTON – Lynwood R. Cyr, 87, died Nov. 21, 2006, at a local health care facility. He was born July 24, 1919, in Caribou, the son of Elie J. and Bernadette (Bufford) Cyr. Lynwood worked at the Houlton Air Base and Prisoner Camp during World War II. He was employed at Northland Hotel and the Atlas Plywood Mill and retired from Houlton International. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Lynwood is survived by his son, Lynwood P. Cyr and his wife, Dolores; his daughter, Bessie Wyman; four grandsons, Matthew Wyman, Steven Wyman, John Cyr and Robert “Bob” Cyr; eight great-grand-children, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Glenna; his grandson, Philip R. Wyman; and his son-in-law, Philip D. Wyman. Friends may call noon until time of service 1 p.m. Friday at Dunn Funeral Home with the Rev. David Tuttle officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
