FORT KENT – M. Dorothy “LuLu” Charette, 77, went to her eternal rest Feb. 6, 2005, at a Fort Kent healthcare facility. She had been a resident of Forest Hill Manor for almost two years and resided in Fort Kent all her life. She was born Oct. 14, 1928, in Fort Kent the daughter of the late Armand and Laura (Gagnon) Charette. She enjoyed playing bingo and her keyboard, listening to music and reading. Her specialness and great sense of humor made her a ray of sunshine to those who were a part of her life. Her radiant smile was most contagious. She is survived by three sisters, Rena Keith and her husband, Lee, of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Norma Charette of Van Buren and Sylvia Michaud and her husband, Gene, of Fort Kent; one brother, Delsie Charette and his wife, Angie, of Cross Lake; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Doris Martin, M. Dora Rice, and Claudette Charette; two brothers, Lawrence and Edward Charette; one niece, Lisa M. Michaud; one nephew, David J. Martin; and a special friend, Leo J. Charette. At the families request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service in the spring will be announced at a later date.
