BUCKSPORT – M. Douglas Hasey, 74, died July 21, 2006, at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. He was born April 8, 1932, in Kenduskeag, son of Walter and Cecilia (Calder) Hasey. A U.S. Army veteran, he served in the Korean War. He worked for many years at Pratt-Whitney in Connecticut, had a light trucking business in Bucksport and enjoyed weekend camping trips. He is survived by his wife, Joan (Hickey) Hasey of Bucksport; brother, Ray Hasey and his wife, Noreen, of Kenduskeag; two sisters-in-law, Margo Bennett of Orland and Betty Thomas of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Tinker Hasey Private interment will be in Silver Lake Cemetery, Bucksport. Donations in his memory may be made to the Maine Veterans’ Home, 44 Hogan Rd., Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
