M. RUTH (CLOUTIER) KONOPKA WINCHENDON, Mass. – M. Ruth (Cloutier) Konopka, 72, of 51G Hyde Park Drive, Winchendon, Mass., died April 29, 2005, in the LaChance Center, Gardner, Mass., following an illness. She was born May 20, 1932, in Old Town, daughter of Frank J. and Margaret G. (Brown) Cloutier. Ruth was a graduate of Murdock High School in Winchendon, Class of 1951. She had resided in Winchendon for 57 years. She was an operator for New England Telephone Co. and for many years before her retirement. Ruth enjoyed knitting and crossword puzzles. Her husband of 33 years, Richard F. Konopka, died in 1994. Ruth leaves a son, John F. Konopka of Cleveland, Ohio; three daughters, Susan M. Crotto of Sullivan, N.H., Kathy A. Konopka of Winchendon, and Sara J. Boudreau of Royalston, Mass.; six grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, and a great-stepgrandson. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Winchendon. Memorial calling hours will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in the Snow-Ladeau Funeral Home, 343 Central St., Winchendon, Mass.
