FRENCHVILLE – Mabel Plourde, 89, died Nov. 9, 2003, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born April 11, 1914, in St. Francois, New Brunswick, the daughter of Peter and Philomene (Charette) Pelletier. She retired after 26 years in the teaching profession. She is survived by three sons and their wives, Peter James and Martha of Lynden, Va., Gilman and Jacqueline of Farmington, Conn., Robert and Elizabeth of Forked River, N.J. and two daughters, Velma and her husband, Gary Dumas of Millinocket, and Theresa Plourde and her partner, Austin DeGroat of New Gloucester; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Eddie Plourde. Friends and relatives may call at the Michaud Funeral Home in Frenchville, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday 9 a.m. until the time of service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Luce Catholic Church with the Rev. Dave Raymond officiating. Burial in the St. Luce Cemetery. For those who desire donations may be made to the Ridgewood Estates Entertaining Fund. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
