QUEENSBURY, N.Y. – Madeleine (Carlow) Lowell White died Dec. 24, 2006, at a Queensbury, N.Y., hospital. She was born May 15, 1920, in Portland, the daughter of Lester and Gladys (Grass) Carlow. She graduated from Mattanawcook Academy and was married to Klein Lowell. She lived in Lee and Caribou, moving to Lake George, N.Y., where she became town clerk. She married Richard White of Queensbury, N.Y., where she was a member of the BPW Club and became BPW Woman of the Year in 1985. She was also a member of the womens’ bowling league. She is survived by six children, Judith Carlow Wilson and Durwood of Lincoln, Linda Lowell Head of Saratoga, N.Y., and Brooksville Fla., Dana and Roberta Lowell of Caribou, Lloyd and Judy Lowell of Brooksville, Fla., Klein Lowell III and Carol of Holley, N.Y., Charles Lowell of Queensbury, N.Y.; brothers, Clifton, Roger and Lester Carlow of Lincoln, Robert Carlow of Caribou and Linwood Carlow of Berwick; sisters, Cynthia Millett of Lincoln and Leone Elliott of Fredericton, New Brunswick; 20 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two children, Laura Lee Lowell and Lester Lowell; and five brothers. Spring burial will be in Balston Spa, N.Y.
