VAN BUREN – Madeleine F. Desjardins, 73, died unexpectedly Sept. 2, 2006, at a Caribou hospital. She was born June 14, 1933, in Van Buren, the daughter of Fred and Alice (Thibodeau) Grivois. She is survived by three sisters, Constance Fortin of Van Buren, Jeannine Desjardins of Sun City, Ariz. and Doris Ouellette of Plainville, Conn.; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leo B. Desjardins in 2000. At her request there will be no visiting hours. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be in the parish cemetery.
