KNOX – Madelene Davidson (Moore) Thumith passed away March 6, 2004, in Knox, after a nine-year battle with breast cancer. She was born May 27, 1938, in Louisville, Ky., to Edgar R. Davidson and Madelene H. Lyons Davidson. She attended Holliston, Mass., schools. She moved to Millis, Mass., in 1959, where she resided until 2000. She then fulfilled a lifelong dream and retired to Maine. She leaves a daughter, Madelene Lyons Thumith of Virginia; sisters, Paula and her husband, Theodore Johnson, of Medway, Mass., Jean and her husband, Richard LaCroix, recently of Union; and a half-brother, J. Bradford Davidson of Wrentham, Mass. She also leaves five nieces and four nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James W. Moore, in 1979; and a brother, Edgar A. Davidson, in 2002. Committal of ashes will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Millis, Mass., with the Rev. Art Curtis and Roberts Mitchell Funeral Home.
