FORT KENT – David H. Michaud, 48, died March 13, 2004, of Vascular Lymphoma at Maine Medical Center, Portland, surrounded by his family. He was born April 8, 1955, in Hartford, Conn., the son of Hubert and Jeannette (Dubois) Michaud. David was an active member of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Council No. 0352 of Fort Kent. He also belonged to the Fort Kent Snowrider Snowmobile Club. He was an avid sportsman, whom adored spending time with his family and friends. David received a gift 22 years ago from an unidentified individual, which enabled him to continue on with his life. He was also a strong supporter of organ donation. David is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Janice (Deschaine) Michaud of Fort Kent; three sons, Jamey and his family of New Gloucester, Jacob and his family of Portland, and Lance of Fort Kent; three special grandchildren, Nathan, Abigal and Joshua; his mother, Jeannette Michaud of Fort Kent; one brother, Micheal, of Bangor; one sister, Mona Martin and family of Calais. He was predeceased by his father, Hubert Michaud. David will be dearly missed by his family, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial with fourth degree honors will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Spring burial will be held in the Parish Cemetery, May 12, 2004. Those who wish may donate in his memory to the Kidney Foundation of Maine, P.O. Box 1134, Portland, ME 04104 or to the Angle of Flight of Maine. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
