WOODLAND – Madeline L. Albert, 93, died Jan. 24, 2008, in Bangor after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 1, 1914, in Caribou, the daughter of Fred and Elizabeth (Bacon) Dickinson. Mrs. Albert was a loving a devoted wife and mother, and was the cook at Woodland School for a number of years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Woodland, where she was a member of the Ladies Mission Circle. She was also a member of the Perham Friendship Club, as well as the former Colby Club. Surviving in addition to her husband, Maurice Albert of Woodland, are one son and daughter-in-law, Philip and Dar-lene Caverhill of Caribou; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Joyce Landeen of New Sweden, Barbara and Wayne Conroy of Woodland and Connie and Steve Chapman of Presque Isle; three sisters, Mary Sirois of New Sweden, Ruth Norbeck of Caribou and Gertrude Erickson of Worcester, Mass.; 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, nine great- great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Madeline was predeceased by her first husband, Lloyd Caverhill in 1959; and a son, Wendell Caverhill in 1996. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at First Baptist Church of Woodland with Pastor Ron Rosser officiating. Interment will be at Woodland Cemetery.
