PRESQUE ISLE – Wendell L. Perry, 84, died Friday night, Jan. 25, 2008, at a Mars Hill health care facility. He was born May 11, 1923, in Easton, the son of Leigh and Nettie (Bickford) Perry. Wendell served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked at Sears & Roebuck Co., for more than 30 years. He was a member of Presque Isle Wesleyan Church, Presque Isle VFW, the American Legion and proudly served on the World War II memorial committee. He is survived by a son, Brian W. Perry of South Portland; stepchildren, Alberta Brown and her husband, Deeb, of Falls Church, Va., Michael Brown and his wife, Marilyn, of Easton, Peter Brown and his wife, Jill, of Mapleton and Allison Bull and her husband, Eric, of Presque Isle; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two wives, Ruth Adelaide Johnston in 1970 and Marion Jeanette Tuttle in 2002; several brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Palmer officiating. A time of fellowship and refreshments will be held at Easton Wesleyan Church immediately after the service.
