COLUMBIA – Malcolm E. Worcester, 77, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at a Milbridge healt-hcare facility. He was born May 2, 1928, in Columbia, the son of Carl E. and Blanche W. (Tabbutt) Worcester. Malcolm was a veteran of the Korean War, during which time he served in the U.S. Army. He worked for many years at the Washington County Sheriff’s Department and also for Cherryfield Foods. Malcolm was a member of American Legion Post No. 8 in Cherryfield. Malcolm is survived by a brother, Gordon Worcester of Meriden, Conn.; two sisters, Marilyn Kelley and her husband, Ernest, of Jonesport and Eleanor Galen of Columbia Falls and her companion, Philip Durling; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, stepchildren and stepgrandchildren. Malcolm will also be missed by a special niece, Linda Robinson. He was predeceased by a sister, Susie Seavey and her husband, Erwin; and two nephews, Sheridan Seavey and Gordon Chambers Worcester. At Malcolm’s request, there will be no visiting hours. Memorial Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge. Interment, with military honors, will be at Columbia Cemetery, Columbia. Gifts in memory of Malcolm may be sent to the Columbia Volunteer Fire Department, Columbia, ME 04623.
