ORONO – Marcia H. Rogerson, 69, died Sept. 23, 2006, at her home. She was born March 31, 1937, in Bangor, the daughter of Everett H. and Alice (Thomson) Hodgins. I have entered onto a complete and unconditional freedom, and I find it easy to breathe, though I may be suffocating. Will anyone understand what happiness it is to breathe, even once, before dying. Marcia attended Bangor and Brewer schools and was a member of the Brewer Eagles Auxiliary No. 3177. Surviving is her husband, Richard A. Rogerson Sr. of Orono; one daughter, Bethany L. Trojano of North Carolina; a stepson, Richard A. Rogerson Jr. and his wife, Brenda, of Brewer; grandchildren, Joseph Baker of Orrington, Marisia A. Baker of North Carolina and Daniel Rogerson of Colorado; great-grandchildren, Austin Baker and Elijah Marquis of North Carolina; a brother, Ned Hodgins Sr. and his wife, Bonnie, of Bangor; a sister, Dorothy Ellen Albert of Brewer; sisters-in-law, Shirley Atherton, Margaret Hanscom, Alice Reed, Nancy Reed and her husband, Richard; a special niece, Debbie Dall and her husband, Harold; and other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Sarah Lambert; and a brother, James T. Hodgins. A special thank you to New Hope Hospice for their special care of Marcia and concerns for the family. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, at North Brewer Cemetery, Day Road, Brewer, with the Rev. Dr. Mark Allen Doty, pastor of the Hammond Street Congregational Church of Bangor, officiating. Those who wish to remember Marcia in a special way, may make gifts in her memory to New Hope Hospice, P.O. Box 757, Holden, ME 04429. A service of Brookings-Smith, Bangor.
