BANGOR – Margaret Braley Dean Higgins, 91, wife of the late Gordon F. Higgins, died Oct. 23, 2006, in Bangor. She was born July 7, 1915, in Burnham, the daughter of the late Wilbur and Alice Braley. She was a member of the Little River Methodist Church. She worked for several years at Bernards Nursing Home as kitchen supervisor. She did volunteer work at the Bangor House for Meals for ME for many years. She enjoyed bowling, dancing and all of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose family came first to her. She is survived by two sons, Richard Dean and wife, June and William Dean; six daughters, Judith Delano, Linda Mahan and husband, Richard, Myrna Pineo and husband, Ellis, Rebecca Braley and husband, James, Lorna Stuart and husband, Richard and Debra Weilburg. She has 32 grandchildren, 37 great-grand-children and several great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Vernon Braley and wife, Marilyn “Lynn”; and one sister-in-law, Barbara Braley. She will be fondly remembered by her friend and companion for several years, Bernard White. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Gordon F. Higgins; a brother, Wilbur Braley Jr.; sisters, Gertrude LeClair, Barbara Prouty and Dorothy King; son-in-law, Rodney Delano; daughter-in-law, Margery Dean; two grandchildren, Gordon Mahan and Victoria Mahan Seaber. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29, at Mailey Hill Cemetery, Columbia. Donations can be made in her memory to Anah Shrine Center, P.O.
