BRADLEY and OLD TOWN – Margaret Eliza (McLellan) Morin, 88, passed away peacefully Feb. 1, 2007, surrounded by her loving family, at her daughter’s home, in Bradley. She was born Oct. 26, 1918, in Millinocket, the daughter of Ella Mae Perkins and Matthew McLellan. She was a graduate of Old Town High School. Shortly after graduating, she met and married Floyd J. Morin, and together they raised 12 children. Margaret was a member and treasurer of the VFW Post No. 3381 and a communicant of Holy Family Parish. She was a hand sewer at various shoe shops in the local area. Margaret enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting and most of all, playing cards with her children, grandchildren and close friends. Margaret is survived by three sons, Robert S. and his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Morin, of New Jersey, James A. and his wife, Linda, of Lamoine, Patrick T. and his wife, Maria “Lillian” Morin, of Old Town; five daughters, Annette E. and her husband, Ronald Parady, of Old Town, Rita M. and her husband, William Stewart Sr., of Milford, Donna M. Wickett of Old Town, Carol A. and her husband, Paul Cirard, of La-moine and Nancy J. and her husband, David Fortier, of Bradley; daughters-in-law, Brenda Stetson and her husband, Gary, of Milford and Gail Marquis and her husband, Fred, of Carmel; and 30 grandchildren, Robert and his wife, Traci Himes, of Alabama, Margaret and her husband, Alvin Payne, of New Jersey, Patricia Morin of New Jersey, Gregory Oakes of Bangor, Belinda Esancy of Augusta, Michael Parady of Brownville, Kevin and his wife, Dawn Parady, of Louisiana, Arthur Tardiff Jr., of Ellsworth, Michael and his wife, Sheila Tardiff, of Old Town, Phillip Tardiff of Brewer, Tina and her husband, Jeremy West, of Bucksport, David Morin of Lincoln, Tina and her husband, Brian McDonald, of Lamoine, Ronald Jr., and his wife, Laura Morin, of Hudson, Tammy Clements of Florida, Rhonda Morin and fiance, Stephen Avery, of Milford, James Morin Jr. of California, Joshua and his wife, Vicki Morin, of Texas, William Jr. and his wife, Amanda Stewart, of Bradley, Terri Cole of Milford, Shannon Sapiel of Old Town ,Shane and his wife, Whitney Sapiel, of Milford, Kristy Morin of Bangor, Corey Morin of Milford, Chad and his wife, Susan Cirard, of Lamoine, Corey Cirard of Lamoine, Wendy and her husband, Christopher Weymouth, of Old Town, Heidi and her husband, Matthew Ketch, of Milford, Tiffany Fortier and fiance, Richard Dutton, of Old Town, Nikka Morin of Old Town. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her parents; husband, Floyd J. Morin in 1967; two sons, Ronald G. Morin Sr. in 2002 and John J. Morin in 1993; two daughters, Linda A. Morin in 1944 and Lillian R. Tardiff in 2001; grandson, Shawn Sapiel in 1991; and son-in-law, Arthur Tardiff Sr. in 2001. She was also predeceased by a very special companion, Herbert J. Daigle in 2000. Margaret was proud of her entire family, and we are all so blessed to have such a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all of those who knew her. The family would like to thank Dr. Ritter and his staff, along with St. Joseph Health-care for all their compassionate care and comfort over the years. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, at Holy Family Parish, with the Rev. Bill Labbe, celebrant. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon at the parish hall after the Mass. Interment will be in the spring at St. Joseph Cemetery.
