MARGARET ELLEN (MOORE) CRAIG MATTAWAMKEAG – Margaret Ellen (Moore) Craig, 81, wife of the late John B. Craig, Sr., went home to be with the Lord, Oct. 27, 2003. She passed away quietly at home, after a brief illness, with her family at her side. She was born in Mattawamkeag, Oct. 1, 1922, the daughter of Roy C. and Nellie (Trueworthy) Moore. Margaret worked at Foster Manufacturing for 37 years. She enjoyed cooking and knitting for her church sales and doing puzzles was her favorite past time. She is survived by five children, Stephen and his wife, Jan, of Plainfield, Conn., Eva Lee, John B. and his wife, Cheryl, Patricia Wing and her husband, Scott, all of Mattawamkeag, and Gerald and his wife, Elaine, of Lincoln; a sister, Beatrice Nichols of Medway; a special sister-in-law, Theresa Walton of Brookton; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandson. In addition to her husband, John Sr., she was predeceased by a son and a grandson. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gerald Craig officiating. Interment will be in Mattawamkeag Cemetery.
