BANGOR, BUCKSPORT, and MONTERREY, Calif. – Margaret Mary Robicheau, 55, died Sept. 5, 2006, at a Bangor hospital, after complications from a long illness. She was born Oct. 28, 1950, in San Pedro, Calif., the daughter of Edmond J. and Frances Theresa (Korthe) Robicheau. She graduated from Pacific Grove High School, Class of 1968. She was a long time employee of Mac Mahon’s Furniture, later Helig Meyers, in California, for more than 25 years. At the time of her death she was employed at Wal-Mart Super Center, Brewer. Margaret was an avid NASCAR fan, cheering for that California boy, Jeffrey Gordon, while everyone else was booing. She is survived by two brothers, Richard Walker and his family in Las Vegas and Joseph Dempsey and his family of Arkansas; several special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Also surviving are her aunts, Alice Nash of Marina, Calif. and Charlene Robicheau and her family; her uncle, Roy Maynard, and his family of Brewer; and numerous special cousins in Massachusetts, California and Maine. She leaves her dearest lifelong friend, Honey Hewlett of Converse, Texas; and special friends, Chris and Jessica Shorey and their daughter, Madison, whom she considered her family. She also leaves behind so many special friends from Wal-Mart; Mary Elizabeth, Mary F., Charlene, Judith, Roxanne, Debbie (both of you) and many, many more, too numerous to mention. Finally, she leaves her Robicheau cousins, Charles of Bucksport, Lance of Plainfield, N.H., Edmond of Syracuse, N.Y., and their families; and her sister-cousin, Donnalene Robicheau of Bangor, who will miss her for the rest of her days. She will be missed by her beloved cats, Puppy-Dog and Kissy Kay. She was predeceased by her parents; her brothers, John “Jack” Dempsey of Las Vegas and San Pedro, Calif., Patrick Dempsey of Boulder, Colo., and his wife, Helen; her sister-in-law, Alberta Walker of Las Vegas; her dear friends, Penny-Jo Ames of Orland and Adrienne Poli of Salinas, Calif. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors in the intensive care unit and the cardiopulmonary care unit at St. Joseph Hospital; you gave her your all. A special thanks to Debbie, in personnel, at Wal-Mart, who kept the insurance ball rolling. There is a legend, inspired by the Eskimos: Perhaps it is not stars in the sky, but the light of our dear departed lost ones who shine their light down upon us to let us know how happy they are. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, Main Street, Brewer, with Fr. Robert Vaillancourt, celebrant. Donations in her memory may be made to the Bangor Humane Society, 693B Mount Hope Ave., Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements by Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport.
