WINTERPORT and LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO – Margaret “Peggy” Ginn Samways, 57, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away Nov. 2, 2005, in Houston, Texas. She was born in Bangor on June 6, 1948. Peggy attended Hampden Academy and Eastern Maine Technical College. She was a woman of many gifts. She was a talented artist, writer and seamstress, just to name a few. She was an avid reader, history buff and friend to all. Before moving to New Mexico, seven years ago, she worked for R.D. Faulkner Corporation and Old Town Canoe. Most recently, she worked for Saint Andrews Episcopal Church in Las Cruces, N.M., as a financial administrator. Peggy is survived by her husband, James Samways Sr.; two children, Cindy Caron and her husband, Kevin and Travis Ginn and his wife, Kimberly; four stepchildren, Lisa Oxton and her husband, Darryl, Pam Tweedie and her husband, Bob, James Samways Jr. and Kathy Kirmes; 10 grandchildren, Kimberly Caron, Colt, Hunter and Mason Ginn, Patrick and Adam Shaheen, Amanda Oxton, J.R., Jessica and Erica Tweedie; one sister, Deborah Hamm; two brothers, James Barker and Tom Barker; two aunts, Madeline Spencer and Phyllis Wooster; several nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. She is also survived by her former husband, Stanley Ginn of Winterport. She was predeceased by her mother, Bessie Richards. A celebration of her life will be held Nov. 21, 2005, at Saint Andrews Episcopal Church, in Las Cruces, N.M.
