BELFAST – Margaret Peggy Hall went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, March 11, 2004. She was born March 18, 1941, in Brewer, the daughter of Walter Randolph Travis and Gertrude Alice Goggin. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Belfast. Peggy was a retired employee of Waldo County Transportation. She also worked at Penobscot frozen food, Bradbury Nursing Home and Shop-n-Save of Belfast. She looked forward to the family gathering each Sunday. Peggy loved to read and watch her birds. She enjoyed going for rides with her husband. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Roderick “Red” Hall of Belfast; seven children, Allison and Gary Youse of Florida, Michael and Rose Hall of Belfast, Karen and Tim Lanphier of Searsport, Trudy and Mark Munson of Northport, Meredith Hall of Belfast, Rod and Charity Hall of Belfast and Jennifer Hall of Belfast; 11 very special grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; two brothers, William Travis and his wife, Margarite, of Brewer and Kevin Travis of Bangor; an aunt, Harriett Fernald of Augusta; and an uncle, Herbert Travis and his wife, Eleanor, of Augusta; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews; her life long friend, Evelyn Brown; and many other special friends. She was predeceased by her parents; a son Walter Hall; and her brother, Walter “Bud” Travis. Friends are invited to attend the visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 15 at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave, Belfast. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Court Street, Belfast. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the church immediately after the mass.
