FORT FAIRFIELD – Mrs. Margery Osgood McCrea, 79, wife of Raymond M. McCrea, went home to be with her Lord, surrounded by her loving family Thursday morning, Aug. 12, 2004, at her Fort Fairfield residence, after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 18, 1924, at Easton, the daughter of Earl and Elizabeth (Gilman) Osgood. She was a 1942 graduate of the Presque Isle High School and was married to Raymond M. McCrea on Jan. 31, 1946. In addition to her parents, Margery was predeceased by one brother, Richard Osgood. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, of Fort Fairfield; one son, Ricky McCrea and his wife, Cheryl, of Mahopac, N.Y.; three daughters, Becky Griffeth and her husband, John, of Caribou, Carla Obar and her husband, Ray, of White River Junction, Vt., Kris Scrutchfield and her husband, Andy, of Portland; three sisters, Esther Allen and her husband, Bill, of Presque Isle, Barbara Farrington of Hampden, Marilyn Lamoreau and her husband, Claude, of Presque Isle; one sister-in-law, Eleanor Osgood of Presque Isle; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, with the Rev. Jan Boyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. The McCrea family invites relatives and friends to join them in a time of fellowship at the home of Raymond McCrea, 22 Forest Ave., Fort Fairfield, following the interment service.
