ELLSWORTH and MILLINOCKET – Mark J. Ambrose, 48, died Aug. 11, 2004, surrounded by loved ones following a brief illness. Mark grew up in Millinocket, where he attended Stearns High School. He graduated from the University of Maine at Orono in 2002, with a bachelor of arts in journalism. He was an employee of Lane Construction in Hancock. Mark was a wonderful father to his son, Aaron. He enjoyed bowling, photography, computers, snowmobiling, fishing and any other outdoor activity with his son. He is survived by his son, Aaron Ray Ambrose of Ellsworth; two sisters, Susan Bouchard and her husband, Larry, of Millinocket, Stephanie Fournier and her husband, Rick, of Bangor; one brother, Robert Thomas Ambrose Jr. of East Millinocket; one nephew, Tom Ambrose and wife, Rebecca; two nieces, Angela Cyr and her husband, Lester, Dawn Robbins and her husband, Ryan; two great-nephews, whom he loved very much, Shawn and Jamey Cyr; and many special friends, including Rhonda Charette of Hampden, and Erin Brown of Hancock. Mark was predeceased by his parents, Yvonne Marie and Robert Thomas Ambrose Sr. A celebration of his life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15, at his sister’s home, 1196 Stillwater Ave., Bangor. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to do so may send contributions for final expenses and care of Mark’s son, to 1196 Stillwater Ave., Bangor, ME 04401, care of Stephanie Fournier.
