LINCOLN – Marguerite E. Steeves, 82, wife of the late George W. Steeves, died May 28, 2004, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born Feb. 12, 1922, in Reed Plt., the daughter of Cecil K. and Viola (Carll) Bradstreet. Marguerite and George enjoyed dancing, square dancing, camping, snowsledding, hunting and fishing. She enjoyed making crafts and selling them. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her dog, Jackson. She is survived by three children, Alyce DeGrasse and her husband, Paul, of Carlsbad, Calif., Myrna Rollins of Lincoln, and Richard Steeves and his wife, Nancy, of Beaufort, S.C.; 12 grandchildren, Lynne, Lisa, Robert, Wendy, Janna, Stephen, Donald, Kelly, Allyson, John, Elizabeth and Scott; 20 great-grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Sean, Troy, Jack, Austin, Randi, Deven, MacKenzie, Zachary, Maggie, Shane, Alexa, Taylor, Marino, Ashley, Zachary, Aaron, Robin and Donald Joshua; her step-mother, Lena Bradstreet of Florida; a brother, Roy Dalton Aldrich of Haynesville; three sisters, Marlene Stubbs of Orono, Sheila Davis of New Jersey, and Lana Pittman of Florida; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, George, she was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Edes; two sisters, Dorothy Libby and Marilyn Aldrich; and three brothers, Robert Aldrich, Cecil Bradstreet Jr. and Dean Bradstreet. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating.
