LINCOLN – Marguerite Lila Fleming, 78, passed away peacefully Sept. 12, 2007, at Colonial Health Care, Lincoln. She was born June 9, 1929, in Milo, the daughter of Harry and Hildred Buck. Marguerite was the first in her family of seven brothers and sisters to graduate from college with a degree in education from the University of Maine – Presque Isle. After graduation, she began her teaching career in Lincoln. She married Warren Steeves, Oct. 24, 1954, who then passed away in 1970. She married Paul Fleming, July 7, 1974, who then passed away Aug. 3, 2007. Marguerite was a lifelong member of First Congregational Church, Lincoln, where she was a deacon and a member of the Pilgrim Daughters and the Junior Extension. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma sorority, Maine Retired Teachers Association and SAD 67 Teachers Association. She and her late husband, Paul, also served meals to seniors at Silver Spoons. She is survived by her daughter, Cara Stillman and her fianc?, Charles Matteliano; and grandsons, Max Rosenthal and Peter Stillman, all of Buffalo; her stepdaughter, Gloria Edwards and her husband, Alan, of Lincoln; grandson, Andrew Edwards and his wife, Abby, of Chester; grandson, William Edwards of Nahant, Mass.; great-granddaughter, Lillian Edwards of Chester; her stepson, David Steeves of Barefoot Bay, Fla.; siblings, James Buck of Gorham, Jarvis Buck of Clearwater, Fla., Thelma Robinson of Orem, Utah, Joyce Luciani of Bonita Springs, Fla., Marilyn Miller of Locust Grove, Va., and Elaine Lewis of Hampden. Visitation for family and friends will be held noon-1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where a 1 p.m. funeral service will be held with the Rev.
