MAPLETON – Marian R. Packard, 70, passed away peacefully, June 17, 2005, at her home in Mapleton, surrounded by her family. She was born April 25, 1935. She worked on the home farm for many years and worked potato harvest for others for many years. She was also employed at Winnie’s Dairy Bar for several years. One of the things she loved to do was work around her yard and mow. She enjoyed attending as many sporting events as she could of her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Sherman B. (Sonny) Packard; one son, Dana M. Packard and his wife, Catherine, of Mapleton; three daughters, Carol J. Martin and her husband, Frank, of Ashland, Jamie Wilcox and her husband, Dane, of Wichita Kan., Angela Bernier and her husband, David, of Mapleton; 12 grandchildren, Matthew Packard, Kristen Packard, Jenna Packard, Danni Anderson-Packard, Steven Smith, Aaron Smith, Amanda Martin, Jesse Martin, Sean Wilcox, Trey Wilcox, Ryan Bernier, and Karlee Bernier; one great-granddaughter, Karnryn M. Prior. She is survived by one sister, Jean Pelkey and her husband, Roger, of Presque Isle; four brothers, Walter St. Peter and his wife, Joyce, of Mapleton, Dayton St. Peter and his wife, Jackie, of Middletown, Conn., Floyd St. Peter and his wife, Verna, of Veazie, and Robert St. Peter and wife, Jeanne, of Mapleton. Many nieces and nephews. She was a loving Wife and Mother and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends may attend a graveside service that will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s North Main Street Cemetery with the Rev. Alfred Irving, officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle.
