EASTON and AUGUSTA – Marie A. Flewelling 99 died Jan. 27, 2005, at Maine General Rehab and Nursing home in Augusta. She was born Jan. 19, 1906, at Bairdville, N.B., Canada, the daughter of James and Maria (Scott) Lamoreau. She was a homemaker and volunteered at A.R. Gould Memorial Hospital in Presque Isle. She is survived by two daughters, Amy LaChapelle of Augusta and Ressa Edmunds and her husband, John, of Towaco, N.J.; three grandchildren; Mark Wathen of Hong Kong, Linnay Wathen Marson of Bowdoin, and Jon Wathen of Sturbridge, Mass.; and three great grandsons. Marie was predeceased by her husband Roy E. Flewelling; four brothers, Herman, Lee, Riley, and David Lamoreau; two sisters Avis Flewelling and Hazel Carberry; two sons-in-law, George A. Wathen, and Norman LaChapelle; and a grandson, Joseph J. Wathen in December 1997. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Shiloh Cemetery, in Easton later in the spring. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
