BANGOR and BRUNSWICK – Marie Clark Ridlon, 102, wife of the late Magnus F. Ridlon, MD, died March 19, 2005, at Mid Coast Senior healthcare in Brunswick. She was born Oct. 5, 1902, in Burgoon, Ohio, the daughter of John and Mae Clark. She was educated in Ohio schools and graduated from St. Lukes Hospital School of Nursing in Cleveland with a RN degree. She married Magnus Ridlon in 1928 and moved to Bangor that same year. Marie was an active member of the Junior League of Bangor and she and her husband were members of All Souls Congregational Church. She lived in the Portland area from 1970 until her death. Surviving members of her family include one son and daughter-in-law, Dean E. and Susy H. Ridlon of Needham, Mass.; a daughter-in-law, Mary P. Ridlon of Naples, Fla.; three grandchildren, Dean M. Ridlon, Robin R. Swirbalus, Col. David P. Ridlon; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, who died in 1969, she was predeceased by her son, Herrick C. Ridlon, MD. A graveside service will be held in May at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor, at a date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Eastern Maine Charities, P.O.
