DOWLING PARK, FLA. – Marie Clark Watkins, 84, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, in Dowling Park, Fla. She was born in Villisca, Iowa. She lived for more than 30 years in Crouseville before moving to Dowling Park in 1977. She received her bachelor of arts degree from Aurora University and then received her master of arts from University of Maine, Presque Isle. She was a member of the Maine Teachers Association and the National Education Association (NEA). She was a past president of the Residents Council-ACV and was active in volunteer work and Village activities. She was a member of the Village Church in Dowling Park, Fla. She was predeceased by her first husband, Milford Clark in 1985; her second husband, James Watkins in 2003; and her daughter, Jean Zellmer in 1977. She is survived by a son, Denny A. (Toni Fisher) Clark of Caldwell, Idaho; a daughter, Janice (Ralph) Gilbert of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Ruth L. Kinnersley of Kankakee, Ill. and Laura L. (Kenneth) Schwarzburg of Dowling Park, Fla.; a grandson, Steven Clark of Murray, Utah; and son-in-law, Kenneth Zellmer of Sherwood, Ark. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Bixler Memorial Chapel in Dowling Park, Fla. Burial will follow at Bixler Memorial Garden East in Dowling Park, Fla.
