FORT KENT – Marie R. Paradis, 83, beloved wife of the late Lucien Paradis, died March 28, 2004, at a Fort Kent hospital. He was born Jan. 16, 1921, in Sinclair, the daughter of Petie and Christine (Ouellette) Ouellette. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne of Fort Kent, and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Fort Kent. She is survived by four sons and five daughters, Ben Paradis and his wife, Nancy, of Fort Kent, Camille Paradis and his wife, Julie, of Dickson Springs, Tenn., Jeannie St. Peter and her husband, Greg, of Sinclair, Dawn Frazier of Hartford, Conn., Leonard Paradis of Fort Kent, Jeanne D’Arc Paradis of Caribou, Christine (Dot) Abucewicz and her husband, Richard, of New Britain, Conn., Paul E. Paradis and his wife, Anne, of Baltimore, Md., and Theresa E. Paradis of Hartford, Conn.; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lucien, in 1976; three sons, Gerard, Sylvio and Roger Paradis; two brothers, Sylvio Ouellette and Gregoire Ouellette. Friends may call 8 a.m. until the time of services Monday, March 29, at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Spring burial will be held in the St. Luce Catholic Cemetery in Frenchville.
