FORT KENT and ST. JOHN Marie Z. (St. Jarre) Pelletier, 92, died Aug. 28, 2006, surrounded by her loving family at her residence. She was born Jan. 13, 1914, in St. Hiliare, New Brunswick, the daughter of Denis and Arthemise (Collin) St. Jarre. Marie was a communicant of St. John Parish, a member of the Ladies of St. Anne of St. John and a member of the Fort Kent Columbiettes. She was employed as a certified nurse’s aid at Northern Maine Medical Center for several years. She lived and represented simplicity, love, compassion and believed in the family unit and faith, a legacy she has left to all of her loved ones. She was the ultimate caregiver, always putting the needs of others before her own. She loved to bake, especially for her grand-children who loved her homemade bread and whoppie pies. She held a very special place in her heart for her beautiful daughter, Madeline, who is a ray of sunshine to all who know and love her. Marie was predeceased by her husband of 37 years, Denis in 1973; several brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son, George and his wife, Nancy, of St. John; six daughters, Kathleen and her husband, Gordon Crosby, of Greene, Madeline Pelletier of Fort Kent, Sister Marilyn Pelletier of Manchester, N.H., Jeannette and her husband, Clifton Pelletier, of St. John, Annette and her husband, Paul Grant, of St. John, Mona and her husband, Roger Roy, of Presque Isle; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Albert and Theresa LeCrenier; and two brothers, Roland and Patrick St. Jarre, all of Montreal, Canada. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday until time of services at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. John Catholic Church, St. John. Committal services will be held after the service in the parish cemetery.
