OTIS – Marilyn Carol Fiorilli, 69, past unexpectedly, yet peacefully Dec. 30, 2007, in her home. By her side was her son, Brian; and trusted Labrador retriever friend, Walker. Carol is survived by her two sons, Christopher J. Fiorilli and Brian J. Fiorilli. Carol spent her working years as a restaurant hostess in her home state of New Jersey. She moved to Maine two years ago to live with Brian. She loved the many friends she had, some lifelong, and they loved her too. She enjoyed sewing, reading and craftwork. She treasured the two grandchildren Chris gave her, Alison and Erin. They were a constant joy in her life as she watched them grow from infants to their now late teens. Though Carol suffered severely from arthritis, she lived a full life and faced what obstacles that presented with courage. Carol’s life was not defined by career or personal achievements. It was defined by her family. She exemplified unconditional love to Chris, Alison, Erin and myself. She left this life proud of her sons, something not accredited to us, but solely to the mother she was. She will always be remembered, always missed and forever in our hearts.
