OLD TOWN – Marilyn (Garrant) Sawyer, 78, wife of the late Charles “Fred” Sawyer Sr., died Dec. 22, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 3, 1926, in Waterville, the daughter of Tony and Emma Garrant. She is survived by two sons, Edward G. Sawyer and his wife, Deborah, of Rochester, N.Y., and Charles F. Sawyer Jr. of Old Town; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one sister, Gloria Matthews.
