BANGOR and PROSPECT Marilyn Nickerson (Russell) Cotier, 75, died July 11, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Oct. 21, 1931, in Bangor, the daughter of John A. and Dorris (Dexter) Nickerson. Marilyn worked for many years at People’s Heritage Bank, Bangor. She was an avid breeder of Belgian sheepdogs and was very active in the Penobscot Valley Kennel Club and the Belgian Sheepdog Club of America. She is survived by her beloved husband, Walter A. Cotier of Prospect; three sons, William and his wife, Mary Russell, of Pensacola, Fla., Thomas J. Russell of Bangor and R. Michael Russell of Prospect; two daughters, Jacqueline A. Davis and her husband, Roger, of Bradley and Carol J. Russell of Prospect; one sister, Gloria N. Card of Bath; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several stepchildren, stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, at Greenlawn Memorial Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor, with the Rev. Roland Nadeau, Roman Catholic Chaplain of St. Joseph’s Hospital, officiating. Interment will be after in the family lot in Amherst.
