GUILFORD – Marion B. Wharff, 76, died Aug. 29, 2007, at a Deer Isle health care facility. She was born Feb. 8, 1931, in Newport, daughter of Eugene and Flossie (Braley) Hatch. She attended Guilford Center Baptist Church. Marion loved being a homemaker, loved kids, her favorite cat Susie, her gardens and feeding the birds. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wharff of Guilford; children, Michael Wharff of Guilford, Brenda and David Prescott of Charleston, Jeffrey and Carol Wharff of Sangerville, Pamela and Helen Price-Wharff of Lewiston; grandchildren, Amanda Prescott of Charleston, Curtis and Cory Wharff of Sangerville, Tyler Cochran and Lillith Price-Wharff, both of Lewiston; a great-grandson, Aiden Wharff of Sangerville; two sisters, Ethel Pelkey of Newburgh and her twin, Mildred Goffe of Connecticut; two brothers, Glen Hatch of Kenduskeag and Verne Hatch of Michigan. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Guilford Center Baptist Church with the Rev. David Lassell officiating. Friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
