BANGOR – Marion (Bowley) Norris, 88, wife of the late Frank Norris, died Feb. 10, 2007, at the Maine Veterans’ Home, Bangor. She was born Aug. 27, 1918, in Dedham, Mass., the sixth daughter of 11 children to Clarence and Addie Mae (Lufkin) Bowley. She served in the Women’s Army Corp with the Second Signal Service Battalion, Washington, D.C. Marion was a life member of the Norman Dow VFW Post No. 1761 and a charter member of the John F. Kennedy D.A.V. Chapter No. 6. She spent a great amount of her time helping the area veterans’ and was a member of the Women’s Army Corp Auxiliary. Marion spent her last few years, before entering the veterans’ home, with her son, Wayne and Crystal, at their Bucksport home, where she enjoyed bird watching, her cats and watching the waving American flag. She is survived by three sons, Raymond Norris and Janice of Cleveland, Richard Norris and Kathy of Derby, Conn., and Wayne Norris and Crystal of Bucksport; two brothers, Robert Bowley and his fianc?e, Rachel, of Orrington and Ellsworth Bowley and his wife, Mary, of Levant; 12 grandchildren, Raymond, Joseph, Thomas, Michael, Kathryn, Sarah, Richard, Rebecca, Rachael, Jon, Taylor and Tina; nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at St. John’s Catholic Church, York Street, Bangor, with the Very Rev. Richard McLaughlin, pastor, celebrant.
