MILLINOCKET – Marion Brown, 83, died July 2, 2008, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1924, in Portland, the daughter of Thomas and Betsy (Wentworth) Brown. Marion loved her soap operas, dogs, search a word puzzles and singing. She also enjoyed collecting salt and pepper shakers, and stuffed animals. She is survived by a son, Bruce Brown of Windham; a brother, William Brown of Washington state; three grandchildren, Anthony, Carrie and Sean; two daughters-in-law, Lydia Brown and Paula; a special nephew, Fred Brown and family; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Hazel; three brothers, Thomas, Clarence and John; and two grandchildren, Joseph and Heather. The family thanks Dr. Jenkins and the nurses at Katahdin Nursing Home and Millinocket Regional Hospital for the care they gave to Marion. At Marion’s request, there will be no services.
