TOPSHAM – Marion C. Porter, 90, of 4 Mayflower Lane, died Monday, April 26, 2004, at Parkview Adventist Medical Center, Brunswick. She was born March 19, 1914, in Mars Hill, the daughter of Emery A. and Lillian M. Coy Cliff. She was a graduate of the University of Maine, Orono in 1964. She married Cedric G. Porter of Houlton in Mars Hill, on April 17, 1938. Mrs. Porter was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Caribou, Retired Teachers Association and Brunswick United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Caribou Library Board, Caribou Choral Society and was past president of the Caribou Teacher’s Association. She was predeceased by two brothers, P. Fred Cliff and William R. Cliff; two sisters, Maude C. Snow and Florence McKinney. She is survived by her husband of Topsham; a son, Daniel C. Porter of Boxford, Mass.; a daughter, Faith C. Prior of Union City, Calif.; a granddaughter, Nicole; a grandson, Christopher; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are by Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick.
