NORTHPORT – Marion Everett “Bud” Carnahan, 59, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at a local healthcare facility. He was born July 10, 1946, in Parkersburg, W.Va. Marion grew up in Little Hocking, Ohio and lived in several places before moving to Maine in the early 1970s. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Marion enjoyed metal detecting and reading. He is predeceased by his father, Marion Ernest Carnahan; and two brothers, Steve Jenne and Alexander Carnahan. Marion is survived by his wife of 34 years, Elaine (Larrabee) Carnahan; his mother, Mabel Minerd of Little Hocking, Ohio; three children, Matthew Carnahan of Anchorage, Alaska, Adam Carnahan of Northport and Katey Carnahan of Northport; a brother, Mark Minerd and wife, Kathy, of Little Hocking, Ohio; two sisters, Rita West and husband, Gary, and Kim Johnson and husband, Bob, all of Little Hocking, Ohio; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 12, at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast, with the Rev. Ken Davenport officiating.
