PLAINVILLE, CONN. – Marion (Harvey) Gagnon, 86, of Plainville, Conn., passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at Bristol Hospital. She was the wife of the late Louis Gagnon, for 59 years until he predeceased her in 1997. Marion was born in St. Francis, of Feb. 26, 1919, one of four daughters to the late Belone and Agnes (Jandreau) Harvey. She lived in the Fort Kent area until 1978, until moving to New Britain, Conn. While in Fort Kent, she was a member of the VFW and American Legion, as well as the Catholic Order of Foresters. Marion was a devoted and loving mother of twelve, and enjoyed every moment spent with her family. She had a talent for crocheting, leaving her family with many beautiful blankets and other hand made keepsakes. Her pleasant smile and cheerful personality will surely be missed by her family, and all who came into contact with her. She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Giblin-Michaud of New Britain and Lorraine Soucy of New Brunswick, Canada; nine sons, Roger, Clarence “Ty”, and Marvin of California, Donald of Southington, Norman of Maine, Dana of New Brunswick, Terry of Bristol, Gary of Plainville, and Bruce of Florida; as well as 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. In addition, she leaves her sisters, Jeanette Martin and Edna Thibodeau, both of St. Francis; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Simone Connelly. Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005, from Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, 9 East Main St, Fort Kent, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home. Bailey Funeral Home, Plainville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
