CHERRYFIELD – It is with such sadness that we have to announce the death of a dear loved one, Marion I. Newenham, who left this earth, Monday, Sept. 11, 2006. She was born May 14, 1920, in Columbia, the daughter of the late Harry and Irene (Randall) Morse. Mrs. Newenham attended the Baxter School for the Deaf in Portland for many years. She resided in Down East Maine her whole life and enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and cooking. She was married to the late Shirley Newenham, who died in 1955. Family members include three sons, Delmar of Harrington, Harry and his wife, Barbara, of Milbridge and Norman of Steuben; many grandchildren and many great-grand-children; and one brother, Everett of Milbridge. She was predeceased by three sons, Merle, George and Leroy; five siblings, Ernest Morse, Emma Morse, Margaurite Dalot, Philip Morse and Lewis Morse; and by her longtime companion, George Pinkham in 1987. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at Morse Cemetery, Cherryfield. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
